Just like its cousin the no fly zone the no transfer zone limits access to certain areas during the transfer process.  The no transfer zone extends from the knee to the neck.  You can reach into this zone to put on a gait belt or to lean the patient forward but there cannot be any lifting in this zone.  Once you are ready you straighten your back and set up outside this area.  The difference you will experience will do more than amaze you it will reduce the likelihood of receiving a back injury.
